Mark Kelly is the Chief Technology Officer for Unbounded Labs, developing strategies for the company’s technological vision. After 35+ years of working in engineering, Mark knows designs should not only meet, but exceed, customer’s exprectations.
Throughout his career, Mark has been involved in the development of innovative products for Beta Bionics, NES Health, Saint-Gobain, OnLogic, and many others. He has applied his expertise to the specification and development of multiple communications systems using LON, Modbus, CAN, USB, TCP/IP and Zigbee. His experience in the medical device industry also allows him to provide support services to clients needing help navigating the FDA documentation requirements.
Prior to joining Unbounded Labs, Mark spent 25 years with GE Healthcare in the medical device industry during which he held positions of increasing responsibility commensurate with his experience including staff engineer, program manager, and engineer manager. As an individual contributor, Mark specialized in the design and development of embedded software systems but also brought a strong systems focus to the programs he was involved with. As a program manager, he relied on his strong technical background to lead major projects and programs. As an engineering manager, he was responsible not only for the engineering staff but for making sure all development programs delivered on their commitments and product redesign efforts met annual cost reduction targets. Mark is also the Senior Principal Engineer for Occam Technology Group, a full-service global engineering and product development firm.
Mark holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Tufts University. He also received a Master’s of Science in Biomedical and Electrical Engineering and a Master’s of Business Administration from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute at Hartford.
